In my knitting frenzy, I came across a wonderful lady, who wanted some baby knits. She supplied me with the yarn and patterns and I did the rest. The pattern is from Sirdar 3116. The pink and lilac are for a 0-3 month baby and the multicolor is for a 6-12 month child. The yarn used was Sirdar Snowflake and believe me when I say, it is ultra light, soft and fuffy and knits so easily.  Some very lucky baby is going to be dressed very comfortably. One of the last items to add to this project was buttons. It was mind-boggling to see all the options I had, finally settled on some very lusturous cream colored buttons. Hmmm... not sure I would put buttons for small baby garments, god forbid they come loose and baby swallows them. Perhaps ribbons would be better. 

    

I think they turned out rather nicely.

Cool blog...... no really cool!!

All this time, I was blogging on live journal, and that worked fine. But something was missing, really missing. Whether it was the feeling that I was writing on a page from someoneelses mega-journal or it was just that I couldn't get myself to tailor it. I think it was an ownership issue, that I could bring myself to write more frequently.

So, I have moved to my new home, under the umbrella of my registered url of Kirti Glass Accents.  This site was under construction for the longest time ever. Finally, I am getting my act together or all ducks in the row to spiffy up my site. I have uploaded some suncatcher images that I made over last year and sold in craft fairs. But there are more panels need some loving and uploading to the site. Stay tuned for more.

In addition, I have been bitten by the knitting bug. :) What started as a general hobby to be dabbled in infrequently, has turned into pure obsession. More about this in the next blog with pictures... I promise.
