Okay, I admit, I cannot take credit for looking into this show in more details.  I recollect (or like to think that I recollect) seeing some previews for the same. I also remember categorizing it as something to catch up when I have time or not (if I have forgotten about it).

Currently on Fox channel on Mondays at 9:00 PM (after House), the show is all about police work. Right! Right! Another Law and Order thing! Ah! HA! not exactly! The detective is actually 400 years old and has seen new Amsterdam become New York. Ignoring the whole premise of police work et. al. (I will watch Law & Order, thank you very much), it is really interesting to see how John (the 400-year old detective), connects the past with present. It is the history that interests me and holds my attention and is incredible. Along the way there is a murder (or murders) and some love story in there too.

All in all, cool concept and fun to watch.... at least for now.
